    LOG BOOM MOORAGE

    Most people are not aware that expenses exceed $40,000 per year for the installation, management and insurance of the log boom. The University of Washington, The Seattle Yacht Club and Windermere Real Estate are committed to keeping Opening Day and the Windermere Cup Regatta a community event that may be enjoyed by all. Rather than requiring payment, boaters are asked to make a minimum donation of $10 per foot of beam width. Those that do this in advance will have access to the west end of the log boom.

    Boaters may tie up to the log boom that defines the course for the Windermere Cup races and Opening Day parade beginning at 12 noon on Thursday, May 1st. Those that make a donation by April 29th will be assured a spot along the log boom if they arrive before 8:00am on Saturday, May 3rd. All others will be on a first come, first serve basis toward the east end of the boom. Please be aware, the Seattle Harbor Patrol will limit access through and around the Montlake Cut beginning at 9:30am on Saturday, May 3rd.
